MatchMaid is a marketplace. We do not process payments between families and maids. The following is general guidance to help you engage fairly and compliantly.

Fair Hiring

  • Use written agreements covering duties, hours, and pay.
  • Offer at least the prevailing minimum wage for your region and role.
  • Agree on overtime, time-off, and notice periods.

Verification & Safety

  • Request references and review our in‑app profile information.
  • Use the chat to schedule interviews and align expectations.
  • Never share sensitive information until trust is established.

Payments

Payments between families and maids are agreed and handled directly. We only process platform access payments (tokens) via PayFast.
